Paris, September 18, 2019 – Contentsquare, the leading digital experience insights platform, has been chosen by the French government to join the Next40 — a new index of the 40 most promising French startups.

French president Emmanuel Macron officially revealed the list of companies that are part of this new crop of French startups displaying “the greatest potential.”

The initiative, originally launched by former Secretary of State for Digital Mounir Mahjoubi, is being run by his successor Cédric O. The idea behind the Next40 is directly in line with government ambitions to support the French Tech ecosystem by facilitating the emergence of new global tech leaders.

Companies must meet several criteria to be included in the selection, and must demonstrate significant fundraising and business growth.

“The entire Contentsquare team is extremely proud to be part of the Next40,” said Contentsquare founder and CEO Jonathan Cherki. “Our company was grown within the French Tech ecosystem, and it’s a great honor for us to mark this milestone in our adventure, which is an adventure driven by innovation and transformation.”

Alongside 39 other French companies including OVH, Deezer, Devialet, Blablacar, Veepee or Doctolib, Contentsquare will receive ongoing support from the French Tech initiative, and will benefit from a program of services specifically designed for companies experiencing hyper-growth, including international profile-building activities.

This initiative comes at the perfect time for Contentsquare, which has experienced explosive growth since its creation in 2012.

Over the past three years we’ve experienced tremendous growth, going from 100 collaborators in our Paris headquarters to 600 employees (including 170 dedicated to R&D) across offices in London, New York, San Francisco, Munich and Tel Aviv. We’ve also secured 3 major funding rounds and made our first 2 acquisitions! Our objective: to accelerate our expansion in Europe, the US and Asia, and to continually improve the digital customer experience on web and mobile. The support Contentsquare will receive in the context of the Next40 will allow us to pursue our innovation agenda and achieve our global ambition,’ said Cherki.
